History
The Outsourced Training Company developed from the team of experts who supplied a completely managed training service for, and within, the Ford Motor Company.
From the early 1990’s The Outsourced Training Company’s team has been helping to drive Ford’s strategic excellence with a comprehensive learning and development programme designed to assist all aspects of Ford’s growth. This included full ‘back office’ training management for the organisation as well as the day-to-day administration of the Learning Management System.
The Outsourced Training Company was formed as an external entity in 2005 as a wholly owned subsidiary of the Centre For Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence (CEME), itself a joint venture between the Ford Motor Company, the London Development Agency, Loughborough University and two London Further Education Colleges.
While continuing to manage a successful outsourced training service for Ford, The Outsourced Training Company has gone from strength to strength. We now provide successful learning and development solutions to over 75 leading private and public sector clients.
All the profits from The Outsourced Training Company are passed to Centre for Engineering and Manufacturing Excellence and re-invested in skills development.
